The IQCharge Mobile Charge Capture Process

  • Select your patient from the rounds or schedule list that was loaded on your PDA from the HIS or patient information system.
  • Use any of three fast ways of capturing charges
    • charge code list
    • Quick Codes
    • Pre-defined macros
  • From a pre-defined list by specialty, select a procedure or Evaluation and Management (E&M) code.
  • After selecting a procedure or E&M code, select pre-defined sub-categories into more manageable and recognizable groups.
  • Select the applicable CPT codes and pick from available ICD-9s & HCPCS.
  • Local Medical Review Policies (LMRP) are included to ensure compliance.
  • Review the charges and sync either wirelessly or wired. The Charges are transferred to the billing system for final coding and billing.
