January 19, 2008
IQMax is pleased to announce that it has released a new browser-based version of its IQSpeak™ mobile dictation and patient documentation solution. Caregivers can now use IQSpeak™ to dictate and document patient encounters using any internet enabled mobile device or tablet PC, regardless of operating system, allowing caregivers to document patient encounters anytime, anywhere. Caregivers can use any or all of IQMax's application modules including IQSpeak™, IQRounds™, IQCharge™ and IQScript™ on the device of their choice regardless of whether it supports Windows Mobile, RIM, Palm OS, Symbian, iPhone's OS X, or even Google's new Android OS. IQMax's applications can be used on a wide array of mobile devices including "flip" phones, smartphones, and PDA phones.
Unlike IQMax's previous version, the new browser-based IQSpeak™ solution does not utilize SD card technology. Instead, it leverages Wi-Fi and cellular broadband networks, allowing caregivers to stay connected to clinical information at all times, across all care settings. IQMax's browser-based solutions allow caregivers to use its applications on the mobile device of their choice, and fits perfectly within the caregiver's current workflow requirements, allowing the caregiver to utilize IQMax's applications on the same device as is used for viewing email, managing contacts and other personal information. It is fully secure and HIPAA compliant. IQMax's new browser-based solutions leverage Microsoft's server technology to deliver caregivers fast, anytime, anywhere access to clinical information that fits their rigorous workflow requirements.
"Recent studies show that close to 50% of physicians currently utilize a Smartphone or other internet enabled mobile device as a regular part of their daily workflow, and it is expected that number will reach 70% in the next few years. IQMax's intelligent solutions provide caregivers with valuable point of care workflow applications that keep them connected to clinical information at all times and across all care settings, on the same device as they use for email and other types of communications", said Paul Adkison, Founder and CEO of IQMax. "Converged mobile technology is transforming healthcare and IQMax is leading the way with innovative solutions that can enhance the quality of patient care, improve revenue cycle management, lower operational costs, increase physician satisfaction, and reduce medical errors."
