IQMax Inc. is a privately held corporation focused on the development of mobile healthcare software solutions that significantly increase the functionality and capabilities of mobile handheld technology.
Clinical diagnostic systems are on the cutting edge of technology while health information technologies for the acute and ambulatory settings have lagged significantly compared to most other industries. As care providers focus on patient safety and improvements in the quality of care, they are continuously challenged by the inefficiencies in accessing current patient clinical information and the subsequent documentation of the results of the patient encounter.
To combat the inadequacy of traditional methods, care providers have aggressively adopted mobile technologies, which provide access to clinical reference tools, contact information, schedules and a myriad of other workflow enhancing applications.
IQMax has extended the functionality of the PDA so care givers can now capture relevant patient encounter data including dictation and charges, thereby significantly increasing efficiency, advancing patient safety and care, improving the revenue cycle, and enhancing the value and overall utilization of PDA's.
IQMax’s Intelligent Mobile Solutions include a robust enterprise ready Intelligent Mobile Platform which can be implemented either as a hosted application service with IQAnywhere™ or as an on premise installed solution with IQEnterprise™. Solutions developed by IQMax include IQSpeak® for mobile dictation, IQCharge™ for the capture of billable procedures, and IQRounds™ for access to clinical information. IQMax will introduce new Intelligent Mobile Solutions to address the needs of the mobile care provider through internal development and partnerships with industry leading organizations.

Our History
Founded in 1999 by Paul Adkison, his vision was to emulate the cellular telephone market model by designing an Intelligent Mobile Platform that would scale from a single user to enterprise wide deployments for the mission critical mobile healthcare market. Seeing that the majority of the commercially available mobile solutions were utilizing consumer grade synchronization models with the resulting poor throughput performance and support and reliability problems not acceptable in the healthcare environment, Mr. Adkison recruited Chris Updegraft and Chris Harmon to lead the architecture and development of the platform. As development progressed, market studies revealed the need to expand the patient encounter documentation process of dictation to hand held devices such as PDA's. With the majority of the dictation input solutions still using either magnetic tapes, dedicated devices and fixed location telephones, IQSpeak® became the first application introduced by IQMax.
